Traditional American People

I refer to myself now as a “Traditional American”. I started life as a “normal American‘. Then came the ‘60s, the anti-establishment hippies, who called us “conservatives” while they became yuppies, liberals, now “Progressives”. We’re now the stigmatized “wing” of stodgy, old-fashioned, xenophobic, racists, the “Conservatives” (according to the msm)
The leftists have relabeled themselves several times while warping “conservative” into a derogatory image of a radical fraction of theocratic zealots and xenophobes. Fairness has no bearing on their tactics. .
Actually, calling ourselves “Traditional Americans” makes anyone else not one. That really defines the intent of the label. We old-fashioned Americans are unique in the world and proud of it. We also make up the majority in America, including all colors and creeds, all party affiliations or lack of one. Most Americans love our founding principles and have a profound dislike of those who would disparage them.
Many have dropped out of the circular arguments of the left and politics in general because of the stupidity of the blather and the passion of the protesters. We feel more like fighting than talking at this point but the “law” seems to say free speech is reserved to the haters. Short of armed rebellion, we have a chance to change the climate this year and must.
